Refurbishment of two period flats within a Victorian house

Project Details:

  • Remove all lime plaster & internal walls
  • Damp proof tanking
  • Removal of brickwork to entire back edition rear wall and rebuild
  • Repair of cracks and render all walls, excavation of kitchen floor and insulation
  • Repointing of all brickwork
  • Render plinth to existing house wall

The sympathetic restoration of a Victorian house & refurbishment of two flats within plus exterior. The owners required extensive work to bring the two flats up to to a high level of finish & contemporary style appeal discerning local rental market. The character and age of the property was carefully considered and the aim was to retain and showcase the best of the “raw” architectural features including walls, floorboards & fireplaces. The addition of new elements has been done with integrity with industrial elements including scaffolding rails, brushed steel kitchen, open shelving and raw brick slip tiling features.
